Very strong and very vesatile dog on stock. He is reserved but friendly and his favourite is to have a belly rub. He will lay down in the middle of a crowd for that.
He is our most successful dog. He has numerous wins and placings in the European Stockdog Program, the WEWASC Fram Trial Program and also at National Specialties in the US. He was constantly qualified for the ASCA Stockdog Finals on all stock from 2007 – 2011. With few exceptions, he was always in the placings of the Finals, the Pre-Trials and the Nationals Trials.

Nationals 2010 in Waco, Texas were quite successful for Solo and Sandra again!

Finals: Reserve Champion Cattle Dog and 7th on Sheep

Nationals Trial: High Combined

All together we did 16 trial starts in the pre trials, in the nationals trial and in the finals and we were in the placings 13 times.

 

Solo at ASCA Nationals 2009

Solo did well again at the ASCA Nationals in Greeley, Colorado, 2009:

Qualified for Ducks, Sheep and Cattle.

Placed 5th on cattle in The National Stockdog Finals.

Won Advanced Cattle and was High In Trial Cattle at the SWASA Nationals Pre-Trial.

Won Advanced Cattle and was High In Trial Cattle at the LOBO ASA of New Mexico  Nationals Pre-Trial.

Won Advanced Sheep and was High In Trial Sheep, placed 3rd in Advanced Ducks and 12th in Advanced Cattle at the Nationals Trial.

ASCA Nationals Stockdog Trail 2007

Solo did great at the Stockdog Finals 2007 and in the Trials there. We made it through the first round with a 4th place on cattle, 5th on sheep and 9th on ducks. So we were one of only 4 dogs altogether that made it in the second round on all three classes of stock. The others were Fly and Sherry Baker, Ruby and Chris Caldwell and Tuff and Tenley Dexter.

Our Stockdog Finals 2007 result is:
7th on cattle
7th on sheep
7th on ducks
and 3rd place in the High Combined calculation.
 
On Monday we had entered the Nationals Pre Trial, hostet by Working Aussies of Virginia ASC. We got a 2nd place on cattle (113), a score of 115 on ducks and would have been a 118 on sheep, but the judge said he had seen me reach over the handlers line and I lost 50% of my points. That was really too annoying.
 
The Nationals Trial was held from Oct 3 to 5. They had 3 judges (one for cattle, one for sheep and one for ducks) judging in 3 arenas at the same time, one day only advanced (40 runs), one day only open and the third day only started). We got a 4th place on cattle (with a 108), an 8th place on ducks (102) and unfortunately only 98 points on sheep cause I made a mistake at the center chute. 
 
Altogether we enjoyed being there and we really liked the good atmosphere, the sportsmanship and the support we got from everybody. Great people. Thanks!

Face has grown out of her irregular heartbeat, so it definitely was not dilatative cardiomyopathy.

 

NEWS:  Maroun & Face (WTCH Slash V Han Solo RD DNA-CP x S Bar L SureToBeTuff STDds DNA-VP are now certified Search and Rescue dogs. Congratulations!

Maroun now is a proofed Debris Dog. I have no real idea about this but for sure it is the greatest challenge for rescue dogs and Allmuth can be proud of her Maroun.
